General Cable & Wiring Information

Running cables will require the removal or partial removal of interior trim panels in your vehicle. All system component grounds should be connected to the same location (this will help prevent unwanted engine noise). The + 12-15 volt power for all system components can be made at the fuse block using an "add-a-circuit fuse" which can be purchased at a local auto parts store. The "add-a-circuit fuse" is an easy way to add an additional fused circuit without cutting into any wires. A five amp circuit should work for most systems. Disconnect the vehicle negative battery terminal before making any power connections.
